My Daily Makeup 2016

1. Foundation (Clinique)

For a long time I struggled to find a foundation I liked. One that I used to have even caused me to break out, and I'm don't really have sensitive skin, so that was a wake up call for me to change my foundation. I found this foundation that I love. It's fairly lightweight and has acne fighting solution in it to help stop breakouts!

2. Contour (Stila Contour Palette)

Okay, real talk: If I had to throw away all of my makeup and could only keep one thing..... This would be it. I bought this one day just to test it out and see if I liked it. It completely changed my life.

3. Eyeshadow (Naked 2)

I love the colors in palette. I haven't tried a lot of other eyeshadow palettes, so I don't really have anything to compare this to.

4. Eyebrows (Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow)

It took me a long time to find an eyebrow filler that I love, but then I started using this and I never looked back. When used correctly it lasts a LONG time, so it is 100% worth your money. It also comes in so many colors. It comes in a circular glass container and you apply it with a smalll brush.

5. Lips (Revlon Raisin Rage Lipstick)

I love this deep red color and I wear it almost every day. It is fairly cheap and you can get it at target. I have other colors I wear occasionally, but most days I wear my signature deep red lip color! AKA Revlon Raisin Rage lipstick!

6. Blending Sponge

People had been going crazy over these things called "Beauty Blenders" and I honestly didn't get what all the hype was about. I mean, it's just a sponge, right? WRONG. This thing somehow flawlessly blends foundation, contouring, you name it.

Tips:

People often ask me how my makeup always looks so good. First of all, thank you. I'm flattered. I taught myself to use makeup. And since I've been doing theatre since the age of eight, I've had lots of time to practice. Learning how to do makeup well takes time. Even I'm not perfect at it! One of my biggest tips would be: Don't be afraid to try new things and fail. This is how we learn to do good makeup! By trying new things and seeing what looks good on us and what doesn't. Makeup is a learning experience. Especially eyebrows. Dear Lord, especially eyebrows. I mean, take me for example. I have had my fair share of eyebrow fails, but it was through these horrific failures that I learned how to do them well.

Moral of the story:

As with most things in life, practice makes perfect.
